These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Houston Regional Veterans Chamber of Commerce ("HRVCC," "we," "us," or "our") website, membership services, programs, events, communications, SMS/text messaging services, and related services.

By accessing or using HRVCC.org, applying for membership, registering for an event or program, submitting information to HRVCC, or otherwise engaging with HRVCC, you agree to these Terms.

1. Organizational Purpose

Houston Regional Veterans Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the veteran business ecosystem through advocacy, collaboration, business education, resources, networking, supplier-diversity initiatives, and business-development opportunities.

HRVCC serves veteran and military-spouse-owned businesses, veterans, veteran service organizations and nonprofits, passionate supporters of the veteran community, government organizations, corporate partners, and other organizations aligned with HRVCC's mission.

Participation in HRVCC does not constitute HRVCC's endorsement of a particular business, political candidate, product, or service unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirement

HRVCC's website, membership services, programs, and SMS/text messaging program are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older (18+).

By enrolling in HRVCC's SMS program, submitting a membership application, or using services that require you to enter into an agreement with HRVCC, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

Individuals under the age of 18 should not enroll in HRVCC's SMS/text messaging program.

3. Website Use

You agree to use HRVCC websites and digital services only for lawful purposes.

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to HRVCC systems, interfere with website operations, transmit malicious software, use HRVCC services for unlawful activity, or reproduce protected HRVCC content without authorization.

HRVCC reserves the right to restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the organization, its members, users, or systems.

4. Membership

Membership eligibility, benefits, requirements, and pricing may vary according to membership category, business size, business maturity, or other criteria established by HRVCC.

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

HRVCC reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or terminate membership in accordance with its governing documents, policies, membership standards, and applicable law.

Members are expected to maintain professional conduct and accurately represent themselves and their organizations.

5. Membership Fees

Applicable membership dues or fees are disclosed during the membership process.

Unless otherwise stated, fees are generally non-refundable once membership has been activated.

Membership renewal terms may vary according to the applicable membership level or agreement.

6. Events and Programs

HRVCC may host networking events, educational programs, workshops, conferences, procurement activities, community initiatives, and other events.

Registration requirements, eligibility requirements, fees, and refund policies may vary by event or program.

HRVCC may modify event speakers, schedules, venues, programming, or other details when reasonably necessary.

Events may also be postponed or canceled due to circumstances beyond HRVCC's reasonable control.

7. HRVCC SMS/Text Messaging Program

HRVCC provides an optional SMS/text messaging program to individuals who affirmatively consent to receive applicable text communications.

Participation in HRVCC's SMS program is voluntary.

Providing your mobile telephone number alone does not necessarily constitute consent to receive marketing SMS communications. Where consent is required, you must affirmatively opt in through an HRVCC form, quiz, survey, membership application, event registration, website, or another disclosed opt-in method.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services, applying for HRVCC membership, or participating in HRVCC programs.

HRVCC does not guarantee a specific number of messages.

10. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply.

Your wireless carrier may charge you for sending or receiving SMS or MMS messages according to your mobile service plan.

Information provided through HRVCC does not constitute legal, tax, financial, accounting, or other regulated professional advice unless expressly provided by a qualified professional acting in that capacity.
